World AIDS Day is held on the 1st December each year. World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day, held for the first time in 1988. On December 1, 2015, at Radisson Blue Iveria the conference “on the Fast Track to end AID” was held. The conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Prevention Task Force within the framework of GFATM HIV/AIDS program.
81st CCM meeting was convened on November 27, 2015 at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
The meeting was presided by Mr. David Sergeenko, Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, CCM Chair.
During the meeting CCM membership renewal was discussed and decisions were made. The information on the results of Study on programmatic and financial sustainability planning in EECA region was presented. The current status of implementation of the Global Fund’s projects and other important issues were presented and discussed.
On November 25, 2015 the meeting of the CCM Oversight Committee was held at the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health. The meeting participants discussed HIV and TB dashboards for Period 6 (July 1, 2015 – September 30, 2015. The current status of Global Fund financed programs was discussed during the meeting.
