On March 23, 217 the conference dedicated to the World TB Day was conducted at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases. The topics of new treatment and diagnostic regimens, international and Georgia’s experience in light of scientific research were covered during the conference.

On February 28, 2017 the 5th meeting of CCM TB Clinical Research Coordination Group was convened at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.

The meeting was aimed at presenting current status of planned and on-going TB studies.

On February 23, 2017 at the Hotel Holiday Inn, Civil Society Forum organized by Georgia CCM was conducted.

The forum was aimed at discussion of the main dimensions of the Transition and Sustainability Plan. The topics of HIV and TB control current initiatives and the role of the CSOs in their implementation, the transitional planning, Global Fund grants and future prospects of financing were covered during the meeting.

In addition to CSOs the forum was attended  by other members of the CCM, the officials from the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs, representatives of Government Sector, International organization, the Global Fund.

On January 31 – February 1, 2017 the Oversight Committee conducted field visit to Batumi. The purpose of the visit was to assess the status of implementation of the Global Fund programs.
