The stakeholders’ consultation workshop dedicated to HIV/AIDS National Strategic Plan Revision was held on February 12, 2015 at the hotel “Old Tbilisi”.
The workshop was organized by CCM and financially supported by French 5% Initiative within the framework of Technical Assistance for development of HIV/AIDS Concept Note.
The experts of French 5% Initiative, CCM members, representatives of donor organizations, MoLHSA, NCDCPH, Civil Society, including community-based organizations,
Harm Reduction Network participated at the event. The strategic objectives and interventions of the HIV NSP were thoroughly discussed at the meeting.
On February 13, 2015 Gender Sensitization Workshop was held at the premises of Employers’ Association of Georgia.
The workshop was organized by CCM to promote gender sensitive response to TB and HIV in Georgia, raise awareness of CCM members and its secretariat and to equip the participants with knowledge and ability for leading gender-responsive discussion during the country dialogue, in order to ensure gender considerations throughout the concept notes development process.
The workshop was led by Eurasia Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) consultants.
Civil Society Forum was held at the Courtyard Marriott on January 29, 2015.
The event was organized by CCM Georgia.
The Forum was aimed at more active engagement of civil society organizations especially Key Affected Populations in preparatory process leading to the development of National HIV and TB strategies and
concept notes for the Global Fund support; facilitation and support of their involvement in HIV and TB National Response and incorporation of the needs into the strategic priorities and concept notes.
76th CCM meeting was convened on January 30, 2015 at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
The meeting was presided by Mr. David Sergeenko, Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, CCM Chairperson.
During the meeting first outlines of TB and HIV/AIDS National Strategic Plan was endorsed by the attendees. The agreement on the procedure of PR selection/nomination procedure and criteria was reached.
Current status of GFATM projects implementation and other important issues were discussed during the meeting
