CCM Georgia continues coordination of the elaboration of Tuberculosis Concept Note to be submitted to the Global Fund in order to continue cooperation with the GFATM and to have an access to additional funding.

The TB Concept Note is being prepared through a broad country dialogue with an active involvement of all stakeholders. The working group comprised from the representatives of governmental and non-governmental entities, donor organizations, local and international experts has been established. The deadline for submission of TB Concept Note is July 15, 2015

CCM Georgia welcomes participation of Non-Governmental Organizations, especially Key Affected Populations (KAPs) in the process of Concept Note preparation. The working group meetings are open and all relevant stakeholders can participate.

79th CCM meeting was convened on May 28, 2015 at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.

The meeting was presided by Ms. Tamar Gabunia, CCM Vice-Chair.

Mrs. Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs, Global Fund Board Member from EECA Constituency attended the meeting. Mrs. Roelofs presented to the CCM members update from the Board and touching base with projects in Georgia.

Ms. Anna Dovbakh, Deputy Director for Information and Technical Support, EHRN briefed the members on the details of the Regional high-level policy meeting scheduled for autumn.

The details of International AIDS Conference planned for 2018 was presented by Mr. Joost van Deer Meer, Public Health & Humanitarian Aid Consultant, Phesta.

The CCM members approved CCM Governance Manual elaborated with the Technical Assistance of Expertise France.

The Tuberculosis National Strategic Plan, dashboard for HIV and TB grants for period 3 and other important issues were presented and discussed at the meeting.

Draft legislative package on Tuberculosis Control was discussed with participation of legislative group of Heathcare and Social Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, stakeholders and experts on May 22, 2015. The event was held with initiative of Heathcare and Social Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and was supported by USAID funded Georgia Tuberculosis Prevention Project.

On May 19, 2015 the meeting of the CCM Oversight Committee was held at the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.  The meeting participants discussed the current status of Global Fund financed programs
