On June 19, 2015 the meeting with the representatives of the Civil Society was held at URC. The meeting was aimed at discussion of the priorities of TB Concept Note and identification of the areas where involvement of Civil Society is of a paramount importance.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and Eurasian Harm Reduction Network on June 16, 2015. The Memorandum envisages conducting in Georgia on September 29-October 1, 2015 the high-level regional meeting aimed at discussion of the transition plan on HIV and TB response activities and sustainability of the programs.

On June 8, 2015, at the premises of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia the Global Fund Country Team met with the members of Tuberculosis Strategy and Concept Note Development working group. The representatives of the Global Fund shared with the attendees the lessons learned from the TRP review of the Concept Notes submitted in Window 5.

The participants of the meeting discussed the main directions of the Strategy and Concept Note in order to maximize the impact of the Global Fund support Programs in Georgia.

Mr. Valeri Kvaratskhelia, Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, has visited the place at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases designated for the construction of the Tuberculosis Pediatric Department.
