The meeting of the Policy and Advocacy Council was convened at the premises of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs on May 11, 2017. The meeting was aimed at discussion of the Global Fund feedback to Georgian Transitional Plan  and elaboration of  the PAAC comments on proposed amendments and recommendations.

86th CCM meeting

86th CCM meeting was convened on April 10, 2017 at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.

The current status of implementation of the Global Fund’s projects, the report of the Oversight Committee and other important issues were presented and discussed.

The slogan of World TB Day 2017 is Unite to End TB. On March 24, 2017 the conference dedicated to World Tb Day was convened in Radisson Blue Iveria Hotel. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and National Center for Disease Control and Public Health within the framework of the Global Fund program. The ceremony of opening of TB Pediatric Department was held at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases. The building of Reference Laboratory was visited. The building of NCDC was light up in red.

The new building of Pediatric Tuberculosis Ward within National Center for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases was open on March 24, 2017. The new ward has a capacity for 21 beds and best tailored to the needs of beneficiaries.
